Can I register as a restorative doctor who is not attending with a surgical specialist?
No, if you are a general practitioner wishing to attend the course without a surgical specialist, you will not be able to register under the accompanying restorative doctor rate. This rate is reserved for GPs attending with their surgical specialists. You may register as a solo practitioner under the Surgical track. If you do not perform surgery, we recommend you encourage a surgical specialist to sign up so that you can attend as a team and then you may register under the GP Restorative track. -
Can I bring my patient coordinator/office staff?
For the Phoenix TeethXpress course, we extend a special invitation to auxiliary team members who assist chairside during surgery or engage with patients regarding dental implant and full-arch therapy to attend with their doctors and learn from full-arch case acceptance experts. There is a separate registration track and they must attend with an accompanying clinician. Staff will have the option to participate with the doctor during the hands-on or attend a separate breakout session on full-arch case acceptance. For other courses, there is not a separate staff registration track due to limited seating and anybody that wishes to attend will have to register under the clinician rate. -
As a surgical specialist, do I need a restorative doctor to attend the TeethXpress course with me?
While it’s not mandatory, we highly encourage surgical specialists to attend the TeethXpress courses with a referring restorative doctor to maximize the learning experience. Bringing your restorative doctor and lab assistant ensures that everyone is on the same page and fully understands the concepts discussed during the course. -
I am already signed up. How do I sign up a restorative doctor to be in my group?
To register a restorative doctor, start a new registration using the GP Restorative track. When prompted, enter the name of the Surgical doctor so we can match the team together. Once the restoration submission is complete, it will need to be approved. Upon approval, the restorative doctor will receive a confirmation email. -
Are there any prerequisites for the TeethXpress courses?
There are no required reading materials. However, surgeons are expected to have intermediate to advanced experience in dental implant surgery. For the three-day Live Patient TeethXpress course, doctors are expected to have placed 60 to 100 implants and possess surgical and restorative overdenture experience before attending. -
What is included in the registration fee?
Your registration fee covers 16 to 25 hours of Continuing Education (depending on the course), a clinical module manual that includes a print out of the course slides, hands-on workshop materials, course literature packet, live patient demonstration, transportation to and from the course venue and hotel, breakfast, lunch and Friday evening social dinner. -
What should I bring to a TeethXpress course?
While scrubs are not required, you may opt to wear them for the live surgery observation and hands-on workshop. The Friday night dinner attire is casual; jeans are acceptable. Consider bringing loupes for the hands-on workshop if you typically use them while working. We suggest bringing a jacket since the presenter may prefer a cool room temperature.
