Dr. McCracken currently serves as Professor at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, as well as the clinic director of the Foundry Dental Center, where over 1,000 dentists and residents have learned how to place implants, develop implant sites, and manage patients for predictable outcomes. He completed a prosthodontic residency as well as a PhD in biomedical engineering, and is familiar with both surgical and restorative aspects of dental implants.
Dr. McCracken lectures nationally and internationally on implant dentistry and the restoration of complex dental patients. He is engaged in teaching and research, and he maintains an active faculty practice focused on implant dentistry.
Dr. McCracken is known for his ability to explain difficult concepts in a practical way and for a realistic approach toward continuing education.
